Our Transition to 93.3 FM!On Monday, May 24th, Elenbaas Media, Cherry Creek Radio and Connisseur Media finalized an agreement that will move KURL's format to 93.3 FM later this summer. We do not anticipate any major format changes on KURL, in fact the call letters will be the same. We will alert you on this website and on-air when we find out the exact date of the change and hope to avoid any inconvenience for our listeners. Most likely it will be in early August. The change will dramatically improve the fidelity of our signal as we move to a full-power, FM stereo station. Our night time coverage will more than double. At this time our plan is to move the 97.5 translator over to KMZK 1240 AM, our contemporary Christian music station, which will dramatically improve our day and night coverage in the Billings area of this popular Christian station. Due to the difference in AM & FM broadcast signals, we understand that some of our listeners on the outer edges of our 730 AM coverage will no longer be able to listen. On the other hand, the number of people tuning in the FM band far outweighs those listening to AM so our local Christian radio ministry will be available to many more area listeners. At this time the 93.3 FM signal is off the air so please do not panic if you do not hear any audio on that frequency now. We praise God for this new opportunity to serve our listeners and advertisers with an improved signal. We would appreciate your prayer though the transition and for quick FCC action on our filing.
